Realising that there wasn't a National Day for Face and Body Painters back in 2015, Victoria Gugenhim decided to make one. Now 3 years strong, it reaches peak revelry at  Nomadic Community Garden, Shoreditch on National Face and Bodypainter's Day Saturday, Nov 11th, 9am-4pm. The day melds fine bodyart, Fantasy body makeup & community, with the aim of raising people up, giving back to the community, introducing new painters to the art form, and creating a space for true originals of the art form to flourish. Bodyartists from accross the UK and beyond have planned brilliant designs fitting Beyond Dystopia, this year's theme.  The Body Art Revue has also been added, showcasing dynamic talent in two world firsts: Firstly, of comedy powerhouse Kate Smurthwaite, and secondly Shakespearean Emily Carding Actor and Theatre Maker, doing their shows entirely in body paint! The Revue also features  Knowing Smirk improv founder and award winning poet Joy-Amy Wigman, Tigress, and whipcracking hostess with the most Diva Hollywood, & riotous performance art of Paul Aleksandr co-founder of Dragpunk & beloved North UK club, I'm Not OK. Unlike any other event, we award creativity and those willing to change the game, so we've created The Blackstar Award, inspired by David Bowie, to honour those original enough to alter the face of the art form with their bravery.

Founder Victoria Gugenheim & assistant organizer Dia Starr are planning a magical celebration. More talented creatives sign up with each passing day. Kimi Gill Photography and Eric Hobson are shooting some hypnotic imagery. Our brilliant Bodypainters include:  Divine Chaos Art’s Kieran Wakeman, BananaSkins.net's Anna Formela, Anklebiterz - Ziggy Angus,
Re Fab. Face and Body Painting by Rachael Delahunty, and #makeup artist Vanessa Hider. #Bodyart creations will shine amongst Nomadic Community Gardens urban paradise filled with graffiti backdrops plus over 100 pieces of art & sculpture, London's best kept open secret!
